INTERN - Internship Enquiry Form

This form is to be completed by the primary contact of the company that is interested in joining/providing internship opportunities to NTU students.

An internship is a form of work-integrated education that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a real-world work environment. While an internship occurs in a professional setting, it is distinct from work in that its focus is on the learning and development in students' relevant/selected field of study or practice. As such, the educational/training element must remain a key emphasis in any internship arrangement. For credit-bearing internship, this should be supported by an experienced and competent workplace supervisor/mentor who will guide, train, and appraise the student throughout the internship.

Please ensure that your organisation can meet the following criteria before filling in the form. Please write to cao_internship@ntu.edu.sg when in doubt.

Paid-up Capital:	At least SGD10,000
Number of full-time employees:	At least 3
Number of years incorporated:	At least 2
Office Environment:	Proper office setup, operating from home/virtual office is not allowed unless necessary (e.g., work from home due to pandemic). Must not be an independent financial consulting/insurance agency. Must not be an NTU academic office where student is supervised by an NTU Faculty member (corporate labs, university research institutions/centres, for example, are acceptable if student is supervised by a researcher at the facility).
Programme/Project:	Project must be relevant to student’s course of study with sufficient technical content especially in the case of STEM courses (CoE & CoS). A full-time staff is assigned as the student’s supervisor. Able to provide supervision & conduct assessments during internship according to NTU Professional Internship/Attachment Assessment System. Period of internship must include the stipulated period in NTU's schedule for attachment & internship programmes for the respective course of study. Any period(s) (before or after) outside the official stipulated period is/are considered as non-credit-bearing internship which will not be assessed.
